The Knife & Cleaver is situated in the quiet village of Houghton Conquest opposite the medieval church of All Saints, the largest parish church in Bedfordshire. This friendly 17th century country inn has many historic associations & the Jacobean oak panelling in the bar has recently been authenticated as coming from nearby Houghton House.
The nine rooms are in the flowery cottage garden & are all double or twin size en-suite. They have central heating, tea & coffee making facilities, with fresh milk and homemade biscuits, flat screen digital T. V, radio, direct dial telephone with modem connection, hairdryer & refrigerator. All bathrooms have baths with power shower attachments. The three de-luxe rooms in the converted stable block are more spacious with a trouser press, individual decor & furnishings & BT Openzone wifi connection.

| The Pantiles
The Pantiles is an old Bedfordshire Onion Loft situated in a wooded valley not far from R.S.P.B. Headquarters at The Lodge Sandy. We are also nearfrom Shuttleworth Airfield, Cambridge, Bedford and London.
We provide a warm welcome in our three ensuite bedrooms in the converted loft and offer peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Home-made jams, marmalades and cakes are to be enjoyed by our clientele.
There are lots of lovely villages with good pub grub, attractive walks and cycle rides and much more to explore in the area.
